Trustworthy Legal Services
Owner Story
Cynthia Cheung comes from a long line of entrepreneurs, and always knew she would one day start her business. This was a dream of hers since childhood, and each step of her education, career, and life experience brought her closer to achieving that goal.
Cynthia immigrated to Canada in 1994, and although she adjusted to Canadian life relatively smoothly, the transition was far more difficult for her parents, who faced a number of challenges related to language and cultural barriers. Although things weren't easy, the challenges she faced with her family became the source of her life's purpose, planting the seed for her education and career.
In the process of seeking legal advice for a Small Claims Court matter that her mother was dealing with, Cynthia saw up-close how difficult and complex the legal process could be, especially for newcomers to Canada. She vowed to one day help her community by making it easier for people and anyone else to get the legal support and information they need. Cynthia has gained a deep commitment and passion for working with but not limited to newcomers. She is a professional who cares about the concerns and difficulties people face as they learn their rights and obligations in Canada. Cynthia is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Her long-standing values for justice and fairness, combined with her strong analytical skills were a natural fit with a career in legal practice, and she enrolled in the Seneca College Paralegal program. Throughout the encouragement and mentorship of the lawyer who oversaw her field placement, her vision of giving back to the community began to materialize, and now she had the skills, experience and desire to start her own business.
Cynthia's career experience, combined with the important continued support of mentors (see Testimonials), as well as friends and family, gave her the foundation to build Trustworthy Legal Services. Her work is the culmination of a life-long passion for independent business ventures and her real life-experience through a legal system that was inaccessible to all people who needed it most.
Being a paralegal is how she is now able to give back. Cynthia offers quality, affordable services where people have access to everything they need to help them achieve the best possible outcomes in their legal matters. For each and every client she serves, Cynthia goes the extra mile, providing them with peace of mind and a professional they can trust with the sensitive and complex details of their cases to successful outcomes.
